Make Saving Money Sexy

Saving money isn’t usually associated with intimacy. However, a poll has found that 3 in 10 adults shower with their partner to cut down on costs.

But sharing a shower with your partner isn’t the only way to marry frugality and sexual intimacy. There are many other ways to fan the sexual flames while watching the pennies and cents. Here are some tips to help you keep the spark alive and make saving money sexy.

SLEEP NAKED

Sleeping naked can help with insomnia and also help save on the heating and electricity bill. Sleeping naked with a partner under a blanket means body heat is shared – keeping you both very warm – and there isn’t the need to have the heating on as much.

EAT TOGETHER FROM THE SAME PLATE

Eating together from one plate is another way to save money while also increasing sexual intimacy.  Serving food for two people on only one plate means both people eat more slowly and also eat less. Not only does this save money on food, the reduced portions could also have a positive effect on health. Using half the utensils means the costs of washing up, such as of energy and water, will be reduced.

Restaurants are also realising that couples eating from one plate can be very sexy and some have started to introduce it as a romantic concept.

SHOWER TOGETHER

Showering together means less water is used, therefore saving on the water bill. Being naked with a partner under falling water creates chemistry between the two bodies and increases the body’s level of serotonin, which is the happiness hormone. Increased serotonin levels means a much happier mood which in turn, helps with productivity.

CUDDLE ON THE SOFA

Cuddling on the sofa does not only help partners feel safer with each other. It also protects against sickness.  When a couple cuddles, the levels of oxytocin – nicknamed the love hormone – increases and this helps with bonding. Cuddling for 40 seconds a day could also act as an antidepressant and help with mental health, therefore saving money which would have otherwise been spent on therapists. Scientific studies have also found that cuddling helps the immune system – people who cuddle more don’t get sick as often as those who don’t.

SHARE A BATH

Sharing a bath could be the perfect way for a couple to bond. It’s a small space where couples could have intimate chats which could be very therapeutic. Doing this could save on the cost of therapists or relationship counsellors. Also, less water is used when couples share a bath together compared to when they have separate baths and this can drastically reduce the water bill.

WALK TOGETHER INSTEAD OF DRIVING

Going on daily walks with a partner could save a lot of money. Couples who love each other’s company could walk long distances – which won’t seem that long when you’re with someone you love – instead of driving, saving money on fuel costs.

Walking together could also help boost physical and mental health. Exercising with long walks means there’s no need to pay for gym memberships and the health benefits such as improved mood and physical fitness means you save on medical costs. Walking and talking with a partner could also be a very good antidepressant.

Couples who walk together also have increased levels of sexual desire and are more sexually attracted to each other compared with those who don’t. Holding and playing with each other’s hands when walking could act as a form of foreplay and increase sexual excitedness.

TURN DIY CARDS INTO A SEXUAL ACTIVITY

Making DIY Christmas cards together could not only save money but could also help with sexual intimacy if couples turn it into a game that involves taking clothes off.  For example, when making Christmas cards, the person who is slowest in making a card would have take one item of clothing off. Or the person who is faster could reveal a sexual fantasy and ask for it to be granted.

REPLACE EXPENSIVE BEAUTY TREATMENTS WITH SEXY PAMPER NIGHTS

Beauty treatments could be very expensive. However, couples who choose to have sensual pamper nights at home – massages included – could save a lot of money while improving their sex lives. Couples could massage each other and help each other with treatments which would usually cost a lot of money. For example, help your partner shave his beard instead of spending money getting it done professionally and he could help you shave so there’s no need to shell out for expensive hair removal at a beauty salon.

REPLACE PUB QUIZZES WITH STRIP QUIZZES

Couples could engage in strip quizzes at home instead of going to the pub quiz and spending money on drinks.  Do a quiz at home. If anyone gets an answer wrong, they have to take off an item of clothing. So not only will couples save money on drinks at the pub, they’re also learning and being more sexual with each other.

SEXY DIY ADVENT CALENDARS

Couples could save money and improve their sex lives by creating advent calendars with sexy messages behind each door.  Include messages telling them how sexy or beautiful they are. An example of a message could be ‘I love what we did last night’. Doing this will improve your partner’s confidence and help them become more charismatic, therefore helping them make better decisions in and out of work which will in turn lead to more money.

GIVE EACH OTHER LAP DANCES

Couples could save money on presents by gifting their partners lap dances at home. Instead of spending money on gifts, couples could give each other great lap dances. Dancing helps with fitness so regularly practicing new routines and giving lap dances means there’s no need to pay for a trainer or shell out cash for a gym membership to keep your body in good shape. And of course, your partner will always appreciate a sexy dance.
